Have you ever wondered how to get under the bar on a snatch faster? Have you wanted to try snatch balance but weren't quite sure how to approach it? Good news! The focus of this workshop will be on getting under the bar on snatch! We'll warm up, do some assessments, and then do some snatches from the ground so we can get an idea of where everyone is at. Then we'll work on drop snatch and snatch balance, between the jerk boxes so you can gain confidence without worrying about missing.
Is your jerk pressy? Do you have trouble keeping the dip vertical? Do you wonder if you even have your hands in the right place to start with? The focus of this workshop will be on all the nitty gritty details that go into making an explosive jerk that will get you 3 white lights in a competition or at least satisfy your inner need to punch the ceiling as hard as you can.
I'm happy to take a workshop on the road to a local CrossFit or strength and conditioning gym. Pricing is typically $30 per person for as many as 5 - 6 lifters for 90 minutes of instruction*. Minimum 3 lifters. But let's be honest, most times we're having so much fun that the workshop lasts 2 hours.
My coaching philosophy is not "one size fits all" - it's "one size fits you"! I love working with athletes and finding the cues that work for them, and there's nothing more fun than when the light bulb goes off in an athlete's head and suddenly they are really nailing the lifts in a much better way!
